Müller with guest appearance in WorldRX

Nico Müller will make a guest appearance in the FIA World Rallycross Championship, when Round 9 will be run on the Loheac track in France.

The EKS team will enter a fourth car for that weekend, and that will give Müller his debut in the rallycross sport.

Müller was testing an Audi S1 for the EKS team earlier this year, when the team tested at Circuit de Catalunya in Spain, right after the opening round of the Championship.

The three usual drivers will be in the other three cars – Reinis Nitiss, Toomas “Topi” Heikkinen and team owner Mattias Ekström.

The team might have a reason to do this, to gain even more data. They need to get closer to especially on the PSRX Volkswagen Team Sweden, but also Team Peugeot-Hansen with their four cars has found a lot of speed through the season, while the Audi team has fallen a little bit behind. Both Ekström and the team are currently third in the Championships, but the hunters are closer to the Swede and the Swedish team than the guys they are hunting.

Bretagne World RX of France will be run on September 1st-3rd in Loheac.
