Audi dominant on Saturday in Austria

It was an Audi dominated Saturday in Austria at Red Bull Ring, when Round 15 of this years DTM Championship was run. The race was the first after the DTM series had removed the success ballast from all cars, so it was expected beforehand for Audi to be dominant, since they have proved to have the fastest car of the year, when you subtracted the weight. Italian, Danish and British Pole Positions at Spa

The qualifying for tomorrow’s 4 Hours Of Spa Francorchamps was run on a sunny track with nice temperature of 18 degrees. First up was the GTE category, with their 12 minutes of qualifying. Proton Competition Porsche #77 with Matteo Cairoli was quickest ahead of Nicki Thiim in TF Sport Aston Martin #90 and Will Stevens in JMW Motorsport Ferrari #66. Stability in the ELMS calendar for 2018

It will be six well known circuits that will make up the 2018 European Le Mans Series calendar. The only changes compared to 2017 are two races swapping places on the calendar, and that all events reverts to being only two days events compared to three in both the 2016/17 seasons. That will save money for the teams, and the spectators will have more action on the track in the shortened weekend.
