MRS GT-Racing going from Japanese to German

After three seasons of running with up to two Nissan GT-R GT3 cars, the MRS GT-Racing will run two brand new BMW cars in the upcoming ADAC GT Masters season.

The plans to run two of the brand new updated BMW M6 GT3 models, with the first test drives bring held in Spain in February.

The team from Lonsee between Stuttgart and Munich is used to handle a lot of different types of cars. They have their 25 year anniversary in 2018, and has been a part of the DTM, VLN, V8 S.T.A.R., Seat Leon Supercopa, Speedcar Series, various Porsche Cup championships and Blancpain Endurance Series during those years.

The team entered the ADAC GT Masters for the first time in 2012 with two McLaren MP4-12C GT3 cars and returned again in 2014 with the same car, before a three year deal was made with Nissan regarding their GT-R GT3 model.

But from now on it will be a BMW M6 GT3.

The team hasn’t got any drivers ready to confirm just yet, but hope that they will soon be able to do so, and will hopefully find four drivers, so that they can enter two cars. They have only run a single car during the 2016 and 2017 seasons, but hope to return with two cars for 2018.

The ADAC GT Masters 2018 starts on 13-15 April in Oschersleben, while the official testing will start on the same circuit two and a half weeks prior to that.
