Racing drivers wanted

Even though the start of the season is getting closer, there are still some seats available out there.

One example for that is the Audi Sport ABT TT Cup, who still have some vacated seats for the upcoming season.

The Audi Sport TT Cup had announced that 2017 would be the final season of the season. But Abt Sportsline has decided to take over the category, and will from now on do all the service en running of the fast one-make series.

Like in previous seasons, they are going to follow the DTM, making it a perfect window for young talents.

The Volkswagen group has run a talent series for many years, where drivers like Kelvin and Sheldon van der Linde (now ADAC GT Masters and IMSA drivers), Dennis Marshall and Lance David Arnold (now VLN drivers among others) and not to forget, the current DTM Champion Rene Rast, have been at the top of the series.

Audi Sport ABT TT Cup 2018 will have their own driver coach just like in previous seasons. It will once again be Marco Werner for the 2018 season, who can guide the drivers prior, during and after the weekend. On top of that, there will be physical and mental training included in the package too.

The costs of running a season is 95.000 Euro + VAT. The only demand is that you have to be at least 16 years old, and posses an International D-License at minimum.

The winner will get a DTM test with Audi Sport during their Young Driver test in November, plus get their own Audi TT RS road car as the price.

Drivers who are interested should contact audisportabtttcup@abt-motorsport.de as soon as possible, since there are just under two months until the season starts in Hockenheim.

The calendar for the Audi Sport ABT TT Cup 2018 looks like this:

4–6 May Hockenheim (DE)
22–24 June Norisring (DE)
13–15 July Zandvoort (NL)
7–9 September Nürburgring (DE)
21–23 September Red Bull Ring (AT)
12–14 October Hockenheim (DE)
