Slow start with dramatic finish in Rome

Round 7 of the ABB FIA Formula E Championship was run today in Rome, Italy, which was a brand new venue for the electrical series. It was however well known names at the top of the qualifying. Felix Rosenqvist had grabbed Pole Position ahead of Sam Bird and Mitch Evans. Andre Lotterer was the best Techeetah, 4 spots further up than his championship leading teammate, Jean-Eric Vergne. Exciting ELMS qualification in France

The qualifying for the first round of this year’s European Le Mans Series was run at Paul Ricard in the south of France. The GTE cars were the first out on the track for their 10 minutes of qualifying. Spirit of Race Ferrari #55 was the first to post a time, while Proton Competition Porsche #77 lost their first timed lap due to Dennis Olsen abusing track limits. The ADAC GT Masters season started today at Oschersleben near Magdeburg, where 35 cars were entered for the opening round. Phoenix Racing only just started in ADAC GT Masters, but that didn’t keep them from taking Pole Position with car #5, driven by Max Hofer and Philp Ellis. ORANGE1 by GRT Grasser Lamborghini #63 with Mirko Bortolotti and Andreas Caldarelli was the second fastest car, ahead of BMW Team Schnitzer #42 with Timo Scheider and Mikkel Jensen.
