Rast out of the Sunday race

Rene Rast won’t participate in the DTM Sunday race at the Lausitzring. The defending DTM Champion had a serious accident during the Saturday race, where he rolled his Audi Sport RS5 DTM car, with basically only the safety cell left of the car. He was able to exit the car himself, and the first reports was him being okay. He was transported to the local hospital, and they preferred to keep him overnight. There was excitement all the way to the chequered flag, when the second race of the weekend in the ADAC Formula 4 was run at the Lausitzring. Lirim Zendeli also started the second race from Pole Position, followed by Frederik Vesi and Mick Wishofer in the first three positions. Zendeli got a great start. The third round of the DTM 2018 was run at the Lausitzring, located between Berlin and Dresden. Mercedes driver Lucas Auer had secured Pole Position ahead of the two BMW drivers Philipp Eng and Bruno Spengler, before Pascal Wehrlein got a Mercedes in front of the two BMW drivers Timo Glock and Marco Wittmann, making it 4 BMWs in the top-6. First race of the ADAC Formula 4 at Lausitzring this weekend didn’t give the drivers much time for racing, since a red flag stole a lot of the driving time.
