The drama had been turned quite a few notches down, when the second free practice for the FIA World Endurance Championship was run at Silverstone today. Loads of laps in FP2

The European Le Mans Series teams managed to do a lot of laps in the second free practice session at Silverstone today. G-Drive Racing #26 was once again the fastest in LMP2 ahead of DragonSpeed #21. Those two were joined in the top 3 by Cetilar Villorba Corsa #47, where Felipe Nasr did a super lap, finishing the highest placed Dallara chassis, right in front of SMP Racing #35. Preliminary FIA WEC calendar released

The preliminary FIA World Endurance Championship 2019/20 calendar has been announced today. Its a calendar with a lot of usual things, but with some new twists and turns too. The season starts at Silverstone on the first weekend of September, before the teams will sea fright all their equipment to Asia, where Fuji in Japan, Shanghai in China and the Sakhir track in Bahrain will be visited. ELMS at Silverstone with new appearances

There were new colours and new faces on the track, when the European Le Mans Series had their FP1 at Silverstone ahead of their race tomorrow. Team Virage #34 is a new team in LMP3, with a Ligier JS P3 car. The team is running under Polish licence with Swede Henning Enqvist, British Jacob Rattenbury and Brit Jean-Marc Littman. Troublesome FP1 for FIA WEC

It was a troublesome FP1 session for the FIA World Endurance Championship at Silverstone. The 90 minutes of free practice had not one but two red flags due to troubles on the circuit. The first red flag was caused by Rebellion Racing #1 with Bruno Senna behind the wheel. The Brazilian crashed at the ultra fast Copse corner, and hit the tire barrier hard.
