ELMS at Silverstone with new appearances

There were new colours and new faces on the track, when the European Le Mans Series had their FP1 at Silverstone ahead of their race tomorrow.

Team Virage #34 is a new team in LMP3, with a Ligier JS P3 car. The team is running under Polish licence with Swede Henning Enqvist, British Jacob Rattenbury and Brit Jean-Marc Littman. The team finished in the second half of the field in FP1, but were two seconds faster than the slowest car.

High Class Racing #49 with Dennis Andersen and Anders Fjordbach has got a new sponsor for the team, so that has given the car a brand new design. They finished 7th fastest in LMP2.

It was the usual faces at the front of the fields. G-Drive Racing #26 were fastest in LMP2 ahead of DragonSpeed #21 and APR – Rebellion Racing #31. The first 13 cars were separated by less than two seconds, so everything can happen during the rest of the weekend.

United Autosports #3 were fastest in LMP3 ahead of their sister car #2 and Ecurie Ecosse/Nielsen #7.

Gulf Racing UK Porsche #86 were fastest in GTE ahead of Proton Competition Porsche #77 and JMW Motorsport Ferrari #66.

Proton Competition Porsche #88 had a bit of a gearbox issue, that kept them from running the latter part of the practice.

FP2 is run later Friday afternoon.
