Fittipaldi starts in ADAC Formel 4

There is a new generation Fittipaldi on the starting grid, when the ADAC Formula 4 2018 kicks off in April.

16 year-old Enzo Fittipaldi has signed a contract with the Prema Powerteam for both the ADAC F4 and the Italian F4 series.

Enzo had a guest start in the ADAC F4 at the Nürburgring 2017, and the proved that he could run inside top-10 – in fact he secured a spot on the podium! His regular commitment last year was a full season in the Italian F4 Championship.

He has been chosen by Ferrari to be one of the Junior Drivers, so they have seen the potential in him.

The Fittipaldi name came to the worlds knowledge in the late 60’s and early 70’s, when Emerson Fittipaldi won two World Championship titles and brother Wilson drove Formula 1 too, and later went on to start his own Formula 1 team.

Enzo Fittipaldi is the grandson of Emerson, and it’s primarily granddad who supports him around the world, just like the older brother of Enzo, Pietro, who won the World Series Formula V8 3.5 title in 2017.

Now they aim at getting another family member into Formula 1, like Emerson, Emerson’s son-in-law Max Papis, Wilson and the son of Wilson, Christian. So it’s clear for everybody that it’s not blood but fuel running in their veins.

The ADAC Formula 4 season starts on 13-15 April at Oschersleben.
