Olsbergs MSE returns to the World RX

The Olsbergs MSE team returns to the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2018.

The team, who won the Teams Championship back in 2014, took a break from the World RX in 2017, while they put focus on their other Rallycross programmes, including winning the RX2 Championship.

But it’s not only the team that returns, but also one of its drivers, returns to the series after a break.

Kevin Eriksson and Robin Larsson will be the two drivers, who both are previous winners in the best Rallycross category in the world.

Even though that the two drivers are only 21 and 25 years old, they already have plenty of experience.

Eriksson participated for the MJP Racing Team Austria through the 2017 season, with a best finish of fourth in Canada. Kevin, who is son of the team owner Andreas Eriksson, impressed everybody in Germany 2016, where the small privateer team beat everybody, making an amazing overtaking around the outside in Turn 1 in the Final.

Robin Larsson created a big surprise at the season finale in 2015, where he beat all the opposition, winning with his own team. He chose to go back to the FIA European Championship in 2017, where he finished 4th.

The Olsbergs MSE team will enter two brand new Ford Fiesta cars, and has already been out for their first test earlier this week in Loheac in France.

The season starts in the middle of April at Circuit de Catalunya in Spain.
