Project 1 Motorsport presents livery

Project 1 Motorsport has presented the colours of their brand new Porsche 911 RSR.

The team will enter the FIA World Endurance Championship with a 2017 version of the car, which is the latest model allowed in the GTE Am category.

Jörg Bergmeister will be the experienced driver in the car, while Patrick Lindsey and Egidio Perfetti are the more gentleman part of the team.

Bergmeister has driven Porsche race cars for more than 20 years, and has loads of victories all over the world. Even though he has surpassed the age of 40, he is still one of the fastest Porsche drivers on the planet.

He has teamed up with Patrick Lindsey at Park Place Motorsports in the GTD category in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship for the last few seasons. The team has often been the best Porsche in the category, so Lindsey can certainly steer a car. He is among the fastest Silver ranked drivers, who still races as a hobby.

Egidio Perfetti is the Bronze ranked driver in the car, and he has experience from things like Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, which he has raced for the last few seasons. He is co-founder of the Perfetti Van Melle company, which is a confectionery and gum company with quite a lot of brands under their wings. They are the third largest in the world in their group, behind Mondelez and Mars. They have brands like Mentos and Chupa Chups included in the Perfetti company.

Project 1 Motorsport has a lot of experience with Porsche cars, being regulars in the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland, but also doing some Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup racing.

The three drivers will all be present on the Paul Ricard in France next week, where the FIA WEC Prologue will be run, before the season starts for real on the first Saturday of May at Spa Francorchamps in Belgium.
