Eurasia Motorsport doubles effort in Asian LMS

Eurasia Motorsport has been one of the set teams in the Asian Le Mans Series through the last few seasons, and they will double their effort for the 2018/19 season.

The team has today confirmed that they will run an LMP3 car in the Asian endurance series. The car will be driven by Nobuya Yamanaka and Aidan Read, who have been racing together in the China Endurance Series.

Read finished third in the Formula Masters Championship with the team back in 2016, and has more recently driven for Craft-Bamboo Racing in the Blancpain GT Series Asia.

Yamanaka got his LMP3 debut earlier this year in the China Endurance Series, and will now go for the full Asian LMS.

The team has furthermore confirmed that they will run in LMP2 with a car too, but the driver line-up hasn’t been set yet.

They were most recently active at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where the car ran in the green Krohn Racing colours with Tracy Krohn, Nic Jonsson and  Andrea Bertolini. It’s unlikely that this driver combination has any interest in running in Asia, but time will tell.

The Asian Le Mans Series 2018/19 starts on 24-25 November in Shanghai.
