Carguy new Asian LMS entrant

When the Asian Le Mans Series 2018/19 starts in one and a half weeks, there will be a new team on the great – at least new in the Asian LMS.

The Japanese team Carguy has confirmed that they will enter a Ferrari 488 GT3 with the two Japanese drivers Takeshi Kimura and Kei Cozzolino, plus Ferrari works driver James Calado from Great Britain.

Takeshi Kimura is the team owner and Bronze rated driver for the team, while Cozzolino races under Italian license, and has experience from things like the Super GT and Formula Nippon.

James Calado is the defending FIA World Endurance Championship World Champion in GTE Pro, and has run thousands of kilometres in a Ferrari, since he left the single-seaters ranks, and the life as Formula 1 test driver for Sahara Force India F1 Team, at the end of 2013.

Asian Le Mans Series will race their first 4 hour race of the season at Shanghai International Circuit on 25 November.
