ELMS hands out extra Le Mans ticket

When the European Le Mans Series 2019 is run, an extra Le Mans ticket will be handed out. So far it has only been the champions in LMP2, LMP3 plus first and second place in GTE, who get an automatic Le Mans ticket for the following edition of the race. The fight between the LMP2 teams is so big now, that a lot of teams have to leave the series disappointed. ACO has therefore chosen to hand out an extra ticket. There will be two more female drivers taking part in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2018/19 test day in Riyadh. As we wrote two weeks ago, there was already 7 drivers announced for the 11 Formula E teams, and now we have a further two. GEOX Dragon has invited Pippa Mann into their car. And he will be the third driver on the United Autosports #3 LMP3 car, when the second round of the Asian Le Mans Series will be run at the Fuji International Speedway. Alonso gets Chevrolet power

Just as expected, it’s going to be a Chevrolet engine, that will power Fernando Alonso at the Indianapolis 500 2019. The American engine manufacturer has confirmed the engine supply deal with the McLaren team today. It has been known ever since the Alonso rumours started earlier this fall, that Honda wasn’t that interested in supplying engines for his entry, even though they delivered the power plant for his 2017 race.
