Porsche with 4 works cars at Le Mans

Porsche Motorsport will once again enter four works cars for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2019. The German car manufacturer from Stuttgart at least hopes to do so, since they have announced four driver line-ups. Porsche with two IMSA cars for the next three years

Porsche Motorsport has announced their IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship programme for 2019. It was also confirmed, that the contract with CORE autosport, to run the two Porsche 911 RSR’s in the GTLM category, has been extended for three more years. IMSA reduces the LMP2 calendar

IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship has slightly reduced the LMP2 calendar for 2019. It was originally the plan to run a 10-race schedule, parallel to the DPi cars, but the series has now opted to remove Long Beach and Detroit from the calendar. BMW ready with their 2019 programme

BMW celebrated all their achievements throughout 2018 yesterday evening in Munich, and announced their 2019 programmes as well. The team confirmed six cars from the DTM 2019, where a brand new 4 cylinder turbo engine with a bit over 600 bhp will be used. The qualifying for the second round of the Asian Le Mans Series, was run at a very cold Fuji International Speedway. An overcast track and only 13 degrees air temperature made the conditions quite hard for the teams.
