MSR once again with two cars in 2019

Meyer Shank Racing will enter two cars in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship 2019.

It’s been almost two months since they announced that Jackie Heinricher, Katherine Legge, Ana Beatriz and Simona De Silvestro will be sharing #57 at the 24 hours race at Daytona, while Heinricher and Legge will be the full season drivers.

Today, the team announced that Trent Hindman and Mario Farnbacher will share #86 through the full season, while they will be helped by Justin Marks at the four Michelin Endurance Cup races. AJ Almendinger will be the fourth driver in the car at the Daytona race.

Hindman and Farnbacher know the team very well, since they helped the at the longer races in the 2018. They have been upgraded to the full season drivers, while Marks moves one step down the ladder. Lawson Aschenbach is no longer part of the team in 2019.

The two Acura NSX GT3 Evo cars have the speed to be at the front of the field, which was proven by Legge throughout the 2018 season, where she was oh-so-close to winning the GTD Championship, but ended up finishing second.

The team will try their new combinations at the ROAR Before the 24 test on 4-6 January, while the Rolex 24 at Daytona will be raced on 26-27 January.
