New pairing at United Autosports

United Autosports have found a brand new pairing for the European Le Mans Series 2019.

The British-American team with base in England has a total of four cars in the ELMS series, which was confirmed this Tuesday.

Now the names of the drivers for their JS P217 Gibson #32 during the 2019 have been confirmed.

That will be Alex Brundle and Ryan Cullen, and a potential yet unnamed third driver.

The team has also applied to enter the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and if both their LMP2 cars will get an entry, Brundle and Cullen will race the car at that event as well.

The team knows Brundle very well. He won the first LMP3 title for the team in 2016, where he shared the var with Mike Guasch and Christian England – who by the way, will share the teams LMP3 #2 throughout the season.

Ryan Cullen made his debut in the ELMS in 2018, where he shared the APR – Rebellion Racing #31 with Harrison Newey and Gustavo Menezes. Cullen more than matched his more prominent colleagues, going faster than them on a few occasions. With his Silver ranked status, the team actually doesn’t need a third driver in the 4-hour races.

The second LMP2 for the team will be a two-man only team, being piloted by Phil Hanson, who usually do about 3 hours in the car, before his teammate Filipe Albuquerque or Paul Di Resta will take over.

The European Le Mans Series 2019 will start on 14 April at Paul Ricard in France.
