IDEC Sport ready with two sets of drivers

IDEC Sport are ready with their 2019 plans and design.

The French team will continue almost unchanged in the upcoming European Le Mans Series season and 24 Hours of Le Mans. Only one of the six drivers from last year has been changed.

ORECA 07 Gibson #28 will continue to be the faster of the two with Paul Lafargue, Paul-Loup Chatin and Memo Rojas behind the wheel, which is an exact copy of last years line-up. The car finished as third best ELMS LMP2 team in 2018, and was on the podium at two out of six rounds, plus grabbing two ELMS Pole Positions during the season, and furthermore taking Pole Position at Le Mans.

#27 is the more gentlemen inspired car with Patrice Lafargue and Erik Manis as the returnees, while Stephane Adler is new man in the ELMS. He also raced for IDEC Sport in both 2017 and 2018, where he primarily raced in Porsche 911 GT3 cars.

The team has got an entry for the 24 hours race in June, but so far just with #28 – which will be #48 at Circuit de la Sarthe. #27 is on the reserve list so far. Paul Lafargue, Chatin and Rojas will be the Le Mans drivers. The reason for them having to run #48 at the French circuit, is due to TDS Racing already using #28 in the FIA WEC, and that has priority over ELMS.

The team will continue to run in the red and black colours on the car but Adrien Paviot has made some updates to the livery, so there are some white stripes here and there.

The ELMS season starts on 14 April at Paul Ricard between Marseilles and Nice.
