Corvette and Mercedes drivers announced

Callaway Competition Corvette and MANN-FILTER Team HTP Mercedes have announced their drivers for the upcoming 2019 season in ADAC GT Masters.

There are changes to three of the four seats in the two cars.

Marvin Kirchhöfer will stay in the Callaway Competition Corvette #77, while he will be joined by Markus Pommer. Pommer was actually driving for HTP in 2018, but had a few seasons in an Audi at Aust Motorsport prior to that. Kirchhöfer has a history at HTP too, but that was back in the 2017 season.

MANN-FILTER Team HTP will bring two new drivers to the team. Philip Ellis will swap over from the Phoenix Racing outfit and their Audi, to the pointy nosed Mercedes-AMG GT3. He has a past in the Audi Sport TT Cup – and so does his co-driver actually. But he probably isn’t known as much from the Audi time, as because of his last name – Vettel, Fabian Vettel. He is the younger brother of the four-time Formula 1 World Champion, Sebastian. After racing a rear engined Lamborghini Huracan last year, he will probably need to get used to the front engined Mercedes.

The ADAC GT Masters 2019 season starts on 27-28 April in Oschersleben.
