MSR and Harvey confirmed for the next two years

Meyer Shank Racing are ready for full seasons in NTT IndyCar Series 2020 and 2021.

The team started competing regular in the Indycar series in 2018, where they did 6 selected rounds. That was extended to 10 in 2019, but the goal has always been to do a full season.

That is possible from 2020 onwards thanks to Autonation and SiriusXM, who will sponsor the Honda powered #60 with Jack Harvey behind the wheel.

The MSR team have worked with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports so far, but since they will be switching to Chevrolet engines in 2020, that is no longer possible.

So team owner Michael Shank has made a deal with Andretti Autosports instead, to have a technical partnership. The Andretti team already compete with 4 cars under their own banner, plus the 5th car under the Harding Steinbrenner Racing banner in 2020.

The MSR team has worked together with Honda for many years, including competing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Acura GT3 cars, with Acura being a sister brand to Honda.

MSR and Andretti already worked together in 2017 for the Indy 500, where Jack Harvey also ran in the car. The former British Formula 3 Championship has raced in the USA since 2014, where he twice finished runner up to Gabby Chaves and Spencer Pigot respectively.

The NTT IndyCar Series starts on 15 March 2020 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
