Wright Motorsports with an extra car

Wright Motorsports will enter an extra car at the sprint rounds of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.

The team already participates in the full GTD season with a Porsche 911 GT3 R, with Ryan Hardwick and Patrick Long as the full-season drivers. They are joined by Anthony Imperato at the endurance rounds, and Imperato will be one of the drivers in the second car at the sprint rounds.

He will be joined by Jeroen Bleekemolen. The Dutchman has raced for many years with Ben Keating, but with Keating currently racing in the FIA World Endurance Championship, he had nothing to do during the IMSA weekends.

He did participate in the Daytona 24 Hours last month, in another Porsche, but entered by Black Swan Racing. He was considered somewhat of a Porsche expert for many years, including winning the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup championship two years in a row. Even though he was offered a Porsche works contract, he decided to stay a free agent, so he could race a Porsche one weekend, a Mercedes the next, followed by an LMP car the next.

While their Porsche #16 has 1st Phorm as title sponsor. the #91 will have Henry Repeating Arms as the primary sponsor.

The first sprint round will be run on the streets of Long Beach on 18 April 2020. The IMSA series will have its next round as the 12 Hours of Sebring on 21 March.
