SuperSebring 2020 cancelled

SuperSebring event 2020 has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 virus.

FIA World Endurance Championship were the first to cancel their 1000 Miles race, due to the travel restrictions preventing Europeans to enter the US. IMSA followed up later on the Thursday, that the 12 hour race wouldn’t be run in March either.

While the FIA WEC race is cancelled with no replacement, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship will do the 12 hours race, but postponed to 11 to 14 November 2020, and therefore converted into the season finale in this year’s championship.

There are no current news on the next races at Spa Francorchamps and Long Beach, but there is still a bit over a month until those events – so a lot can happen.
