IMSA swaps two races

IMSA has chosen to swap two races on the 2020 schedule for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and some of their support series. The 6 hours race at Watkins Glen will be moved to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, but still on 6 September, and still the same duration. The Lime Rock race one week later, will be moved to Charlotte Motor Speedway, where the GT cars will race on the ROVAL, which is the infield of the oval. Mid-Ohio postpones Indycar races

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course has chosen to postpone the two NTT IndyCar Series races, that should have been run this coming weekend. The track between Columbus and Cleveland has sent out a press release this Saturday night, stating that it is based on communication with the local health officials. They expect to be able to run the races in either September or October this year, but will release further details at a later stage. The ADAC GT Masters 2020 season finally got going, with the opening round being run today at the Lausitzring between Berlin and Dresden. Toksport WRT Mercedes #22 with Luca Stolz and Maro Engel had Pole Position for the Saturday race, ahead of T3-HRT Motorsport Audi #71 with Maximilian Paul and Niels Langeveld, while Team WRT Audi #32 with Charles Weerts and Dries Vanthoor were P3.
