WeatherTech Racing goes for GTE Pro honors

WeatherTech Racing has chosen to jump up one category, for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The American outfit, who is run by Scuderia Corsa, will participate in Ferrari 488 GTE Evo, but has chosen to enter the GTE Pro instead of GTE Am.

The driver line-up will be Cooper MacNeil, Tony Vilander and Jeff Segal, who often joins the full-season IMSA pairing at the longer races in the USA.

There are good chances to get a good result in this years GTE Pro category, since there only will be 8 cars running – including the announcement today. GTE Am is huge, with 22 remaining entries.

It will be interesting to see if some of the other teams will get the same idea.

The 2020 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will run on 19-20 September.
