Cadillac confirms 2023 IMSA drivers

Cadillac has confirmed the four full-season drivers, for the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Sebastien Bourdais and Renger van der Zande will continue at  Chip Ganassi Racing. The French and Dutch drivers were teamed up for the 2022 season, after Kevin Magnussen left the team after only a single season. The collaboration between Bourdais and van der Zande has resulted in wins on the streets of Long Beach and Detroit, with the pairing currently sitting third in the DPi Championship standings. BMW starts LMDh test – confirms Le Mans

BMW has started their testing with their brand new LMDh car, and confirms their return to Le Mans. The new BMW M Hybrid V8 drove the first meters yesterday at Varano in Italy, near the Dallara factory. BMW has chosen Italian manufacturer Dallara to build the car, which is based on a LMP2 car, but with added hybrid system, it’s own bodywork, and a custom-made BMW engine. It comes to no surprise, that those two drivers are Mirko Bortolotti and Andrea Caldarelli, since those two has been synonymous with the Italian brand for many seasons. Porsche Motorsport has revealed more details about their upcoming LMDh programme in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. WeatherTech Racing has made a slight change to their 2022 plans. The team previous announced, that they would run the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with a Porsche 911 GT3 R throughout the full 2022 season.
