Jorge Lorenzo to miss preliminary test at Sepang due to injury.

Jorge Lorenzo will miss the first test at Sepang next week, after fracturing his the scaphoid bone in his hand during a training accident. Although surgery was undertaken yesterday and has been successful Lorenzo will have to rest and miss out at the Sepang opening test session, kicking off the 2019 season proper. MotoGP confirms the 2019 schedule

Just over four months after the preliminary MotoGP 2019 schedule was announced, the FIM has confirmed it today. There are no changes in regards to the original offering – and actually, it’s exactly the same as in 2018. The season starts under the lights in Qatar, which has been a tradition since 2008. Ducati Corse presented the first of the 2019 MotoGP bike launches in Neuchatel Switzerland, and sparked controversy before the season of racing even began.
